ChatGPT
This step needs a computer. ChatGPT only lets you add Mantel at chatgpt.com in a computer browser, not in the phone app.
- First time only: turn on Developer mode. In ChatGPT: Settings, Apps, Advanced settings, Developer mode. It needs a paid plan (Plus or higher).
-
Top right: tap Add, then Add custom MCP server.
-
Fill it in, then tap Create.
-
Sign in to Mantel.
-
Tap Connect.
Don't see Add custom MCP server?
Developer mode is off, or you're in the phone app. On a computer, go to Settings, Apps, Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. On a work or school account, an admin may have to allow it.

Another AI app
- In your app's settings, add a connector (it may be called a custom MCP server).
- Paste the link.
- Sign in to Mantel and allow.
Mantel teaches your AI how to make great screens. Nothing else to install.
One-tap Connect, right inside ChatGPT and Claude, is coming soon.
Then try
- “Today's word in Spanish, with a little drawing.”
- “Tonight's dinner recipe, big enough to read from the stove.”
- “The game score at halftime.”
Mantel is in preview, so things may still change.
